The Company Lab and Double Cola Co. are inviting the public to attend the annual pitch competition, Will This Float? This event is one of the biggest in the Chattanooga entrepreneurial ecosystem, and is a chance to see new companies pitch to a group of judges.

The Oct. 19 Forum is a fireside chat on the topic of Workers With Disabilities with April Lomax of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and Lorne Steedley, VP for Diversity and Inclusive Growth at the Chamber. April serves as director for Workforce Diversity at BCBST. The conversation will center on BCBST's successful efforts on recruitment, retention, and development of workers with disabilities. The intent of the Forum is to elevate the value add of workers with physical and mental disabilities. During the discussion, we plan to explore neurodiversity. Specifically referring to workers with ADHD, autism or other neurological differences.

Two people were injured in a house fire Saturday morning. The fire presented several dangers for Chattanooga firefighters. Recently, there was a Chattanooga tribute to Memphis native Eliza Fletcher, wife of Richard and mother of two boys, Richard (IV) and Harry.
